The Day After.....

For my "make-up" shoot today I went down to the grassy park area where we assembled for the City to Surf yesterday morning. Thought an aftermath photo of the cleanup might be interesting. These barriers were used to keep the almost 40,000 of us where we were supposed to be before the start of the race.

I have been VERRRRRY bad and not taken any photos for almost a week. So this photo was actually taken on 31 August but will do to represent the lazy day we had on Saturday a week ago. This was a little weed flower in the grass where I had lunch today (Tuesday 31st).

New home for a much loved bookcase. Wasn't the easiest thing getting this beast up the stairs. But it now resides proudly outside my study.

Gary's holiday inspiration. Not exactly fun, but should be worth it if I can bring myself to tossing everything I should! So we have a skip in our driveway....and now I am caught up loading photos.

It has rained, at least a little, EVERY single day of my leave so far. I am cheating with this photo because I actually didn't take one on yesterday. But seeing as I was trying to capture more raindrop photos and it was the rain yesterday that made this shot possible I thought it appropriate to show you the rain's handy work. Hmmm - maybe I should be trying to get the clover out of my lawn rather than taking pictures of raindrops on it.

Banana Bread. I forget how much I like to bake until I do it again. Just wish I didn't have to clean up the kitchen afterwards as I do make a mess.

Colouring and more colouring! I am done now and back to the cross stitching. But the colouring was fun while it lasted. Each of these pages covers about 3x2 inches or so of the actual finished cross stitch. How many years did we think it would take?

Being on vacation I took a vacation from taking photos as well. Was VERY lazy last Friday and did quite a bit of just nothing. Wish I could get this colour of water and sky in my photos!

Went to the toy store last week to practice taking photos of moving objects for our photo assignment and look what I found!!! OK, my moving photo isn't the best but I just HAD to try and get it in action. Our stairs are too deep for it to walk properly so this was my attempt at a makeshift couple of steps using some boxes.

Fuzzy Flowers....these little cuties grabbed my attention on our walk in Paruna Sanctuary last week. They looked like they were made for a cute fuzzy teddy bear to hold.

Storm clouds brewing. Was outside for a bit today practicing the photography lesson for this week. These clouds started to develop and it started to pour just a few minutes later.

Berries on shrub...didn't stop to take one photo during walk with Dad Collins on Friday morning until after I left him to head home! I love the way these berries kinda look a bit like blueberries.

Birthday breakfast mishap. Trauma not in evidence now (took this photo today), but the sight of blood ruined the lovely breakfast I was trying to make Gary on Thursday. I HATE this knife and was only using it because I put the other two I normally use in the dishwasher just a few minutes earlier.
