While Jag doesn't like to play ball like he used to he will still do a bit of chasing if he wants to. But when has had enough is just happy sitting with his ball.

Phantom of the Opera! Waited years to go see this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't beat the original Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman for vocals though.

Another busy week at work so the end of last week didn't see me getting the camera out at all. Isn't the weekend for photos? Here are a few that I took this weekend to make up...

This little pod of assorted dolphins lives on top of our tv cabinet.

Shiny baubles from the Christmas party vase.

A view looking down on my building, where I spent so much time in this past week, from Gary's building. Glad I don't have to ride the elevator as high as Gary every day.

Lassie delight. Tonight's photo is three combined to illustrate the yummy mango lassies we had on Tuesday night.

Little man was VERY sleepy on Monday night. Thrilled to get this closeup of his sweet face. He is so cute when he puts his paw over his nose in this way.

This weekend was definitely about books! I have found this particular author so intriguing right from the first book I read. Spent hours today finishing another book (The Meeting of the Waters) immersing myself in the Gaelic/Celtic fantasy world he has created. Can't seem to get enough.

Thanks to Dawn for the inspiration to go to the library and thus this photo! Can't wait to read your book club book with you this month. Will almost feel like I am there with you. I ended up taking out quite a few books and will definitely not wait so long again before going back!

I missed the best of the sunset tonight by not getting out with the camera soon enough. But I still think this one with the sun shining off the edge of the rain clouds out over the ocean is beautiful.

Around and around we go....

These are the spiral stairs that lead to the underground carpark under Gary's building. I have always been fascinated by spiral staircases.

We got enough rain today to actually clean the windscreen on the car on the way in. I love the rain! Was planning on trying to get a photo of Dee's beautiful purple umbrella today when I heard we were going to get a bit of rain, but wouldn't you know it she forgot to bring it to work. So instead you are getting a photo of my umbrella in honour of the rain today. Bring on autumn.

Happy St Patrick's Day! Our lovely Irish Karen at work posed for my photo of the day on Tuesday. Thanks Karen - you make a beautiful model!

Photo 74 - March 16

Took this photo while waiting for my coffee on Monday. I like the simplicity of this shiny line of canisters along the back wall of Caffissimo.

Had dinner at Mum & Dad's tonight. Oscar is the photo of the day. Surprised he sat still long enough for me to get this cute posed shot.

Photo 72 - March 14

Sleepy little man! Took lots of photos of Jag on Saturday. This one turned out quite cute.

Photos 68-71 - March 10-13

I didn't find time to get the camera out most of this past week, so again made sure I made up for it by taking some photos this weekend. Here are a few that I quite liked.

My relaxing cup of coffee while reading a book out on the lawn late Saturday.

The clouds as the sun started to go down were lovely on Saturday.

The bees have taken over Jag's water bowl! This is a photo of them at their watering hole late this afternoon. They are everywhere when it is hot like it was today.

I love these daisies Mum has growing out the front of her house.

Photo 67 - March 9

Beautiful sunset on Monday night this past week. I should have used a tripod to capture it better, but needed to get the shot quick before the colour disappeared.

Triathlon day today! The mood was very exciting as everyone gathered before it was fully light this morning. I took this photo just after the transition area, were we parked our bikes ready for the 2nd stage of the race, was closed. We could relax a little before the start of the race at 7:30 so were admiring the sunrise reflecting off the buildings behind us.

Photo 65 - March 7

It was a busy Saturday talking to Mona and Grandma in the morning and then going to work and having to collect our gear for the triathlon on Sunday. Little man and I got a little time to play out in the backyard once I got home from grocery shopping at the end of the day.

Photo 64 - March 6

Long week at work! My feet definitely needed to go up once I got home on Friday.

Photo 63 - March 5

Not a lot of photo opportunities at Thursday so this was the playful one I took once we got home from work. "One of things is not like the other....one of these things just doesn't belong." can you sing the song with me? :0) That little ditty started playing in my head while I was setting up this shot. Guess someone watched a bit of TV when I was younger. I think Sesame Street was great!

With the cooler nights we have been having (thank goodness summer is almost over!) I have been craving hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows every night. Couldn't be inspired by anything for dinner tonight, so I just ate this little pile of mini marshmallows instead. Not too good for the diet, but did cure my craving. :0)

It has been a very busy start to the year at work with not much time for lunch most days. But Tuesday I decided that even if I only had 15 minutes that I was going to enjoy my lunch in the outdoors. So this fountain is just across the road (just outside Gary's office) and I took just those few minutes yesterday to enjoy my meal with the sound of the fountain and watching the pigeons squabble over some bread crusts. Was nice to get out of the office even if just for a few minutes.

Photo 60 - March 2

We had such a lovely, cool long weekend, but with all the wind we didn't get outdoors as much as I wanted. Once the wind blew the cloud cover off on Monday Jag and I played a bit of ball in the backyard. This is one of those lucky shots I got of my little man where I caught him in the act of sticking his tongue out in concentration waiting for me to throw the tennis ball (was holding it just above the camera to keep his attention). I love this face :0)

Photo 59 - March 1

I absolutely loved this photo, showing the texture of the cabbage trees in our backyard, that I took this afternoon. So many cool photos came out from my "macro" shoot. It was hard to pick my favourite today.

Photo 54-58 - February 24-28

Last week was a very busy week at work and I didn't have the energy to take the camera out even once during the week, so I made up for lost time today by taking a bunch of photos around the house and garden. Thoroughly enjoyed using the macro mode on the camera to get photos of different textures and colours. It was actually a really nice way to unwind, looking for different ways to look at things in my own garden (oh, and the beads on my dresser).

Photo 53 - February 23

Almost a week late posting this one! This was the only day I did any training for my coming triathlon this past week and this 10K ride was pretty difficult with the wind blowing by the end of the day. It took half an hour to ride this distance!
