Interesting morning for a walk. The weather wasn't supposed to be too nice with chances of rain and thunderstorms. But other than some lightening before it got light and some really interesting clouds it turned out quite lovely to be out for a walk. We just walked locally up along the coast, but it was nice to get out with Jag and the family.

This photo was actually taken the afternoon of the 31st, but I thought it summed up the resting up we did on the 30th at the start of our long weekend.

Took a walk around the gardens between our office and the river on Friday. Ended up taking quite a few plant and flower photos. I quite liked the way the colour on these berries turned out. I accidentally scared off two beautiful parrots going in for this shot. They were feeding on the berries and I was trying to get a photo of them. Seeing as they flew off I figured the berries were the next best thing.

Back to work today. Would much rather have been home playing on this rebuilt PC Gary finished for me on the weekend (aren't the lights pretty) but I guess work will help pay for my expensive week of craft shopping.

Dinner at Mandy's tonight to celebrate Dad Collins' birthday. Chillies growing in a pot outside her backdoor make for interesting colour.

Back to the shops to buy the quilt material. So many pretty colours to choose from at the shop that sold me the pattern. Hope little man will love the colours as much as I do.

Magpie Heaven! Shopping done it was now time on Friday to finish organising all the cross stitch threads to make sure I had everything I need for project. These are the boxes of threads I am not using this time around - but aren't all the colours pretty!

Thursday of week off was all about the shopping! Mum Collins and I spent hours looking at different things and spending a bit as well. All these receipts weren't from this shopping trip alone, but I thought represented the day looking in many, many shops for just the right things.

Rainy day activity...planning to spend money. Spent quite a bit of time on Wednesday working out how to make a cot quilt into a single bed size. This graphed version didn't end up being the final design as it ended up being a bit too wide and long.

Day 2 of Hamelin Bay to Cape Leeuwin hike. This time we started at the south end (Cape Leeuwin) and headed north before turning around and coming back. This was one of MANY photos of the Leeuwin lighthouse.

Day 1 of our Hamelin Bay to Cape Leeuwin hike. This was the first of many shadow photos we took of the two of us :0)

Start of my bushwalking holiday driving down to our accommodation on Saturday. This was one of the creations that greeted us as we drove in.

Craft Fair time again. Mum Collins and I had a lovely day together, but couldn't get away completely unscathed by the many, many beautiful things for sale. Big plans for my time on my week off :0)

Too busy at work on Thursday getting ready for my week and a bit off to take photos. So here is the photo of my gear bags I started getting ready today for our Cape to Cape adventure. Might have to practice a bit more on packing light.

Afternoon at the zoo today. I cheated a little with this photo because made a minor edit in Photoshop to brighten it slightly seeing as the glass panel between us put a haze over this Sumatran tiger a bit.

Bushwalking presents. Decided Mandy and I needed some little gifties to make the hiking more enjoyable come morning and afternoon tea breaks! Small enough to not add heaps of weight but big enough for two nice cuppas each.

Journaling to Self Discovery. Decided to take a self-portrait today. How to take a photo when both hands are occupied? Use your chin and auto-timer :0)

Green creek. The ducks swimming through the water with all this greenery looked interesting. They made a path through it and then the path disappeared right behind them. Click on the picture to see in real detail :0)

No photos taken Saturday. This one is from our walk on Sunday. I knew we'd get some glorious photos of birds Sunday morning as we always do when around Lake Herdsman.

Date Night is Tuesday night and I neglected to take a photo! So here is a belated photo of what we were watching on the PVR when I fell asleep during our "date" last night....Top Gear (a UK car show) is one of our favourite things to watch together on date nights.

Thought I would share another of my favourite photos from the awards party on Friday seeing as I didn't take many photos on the weekend.

View out the window at work....found this line of men working on the new building across the road an interesting shot.

Last day of a VERY busy month. Little man wasn't the most willing model for my photo on Thursday last week.
